About Archtop Guitars Audio Clips
The Audio Clips were recorded on the same day, one after the other, in order to minimize the variables and allow a better comparison between the different models.
The musical pieces were performed both with a plectrum and without a plectrum.
For each piece, a record was recorded in Acoustic condition (microphone only) and another record in Amplified condition (pickups only).
All guitars used had the same string model (Thomastik Jazz 0.013), and were played with a Jazz III Ultex pick.
Acoustic clips were microphoned with a Slate ML-2 microphone.
All guitars use the same model floating mini humbucker pickup from Customy Pickups.
The amp used for the other clips was the Mesa Boogie Mark V 25 on the "Fat" channel.
The guitars used in the recordings were: Beneditta #016, Ditta #018 and Ditta #021, kindly provided by the owners to make these recordings possible.
